Media artist, performer. _ Viktória Monhor considers artistic activity as an extended social practice that, as the field of free thinking, is able to articulate a critical attitude.

Most of my work responds to social and political realities, primarily through the medium of performance. I approach artistic practice as an expanded form of social practice — a space for free and critical thinking, where artistic inquiry can articulate positions that question dominant narratives and imagine alternative ways of being.

Another central strand of my practice engages with personal and family histories, with particular attention to experiences shaped by my Hungarian–Mongolian cultural background and the complexities of living between identities.

In recent years, ecological thinking and the question of how we relate to the more than human world have become increasingly central to my work.

My current research unfolds at the intersection of ecology and activism, exploring possibilities for reconnecting with nature through artistic and collective practices. I am
interested in how ecological values can become personally embodied rather than merely intellectually understood, and how such experiences might contribute to a broader ecological shift on a societal level.
